Move-in/Move-out Inspection

Move-in Inspection

1 – 2 days prior to move-in day, we will conduct an inspection and take photos of the property.
On the day of the move-in, a move-in check sheet will be provided…we will go around the property and go over the findings we have found prior so you can be aware of the findings.
Please take photos of the findings as well.
Once we have left, please do another close inspection of the property and note down of the other findings you may have found and take pictures of them as well.

Move-out Process/Inspection

When you know you will be moving out of the property, you MUST give us minimum of a 30-day prior notice either in person or by email. (So that we can let the owner know.)
After informing us, please come by our office to sign a “Procedure for vacating a rental house” form.
Once you have your PCS orders, please inform us and stop by Kadena Housing Office to get a “Clearance Package”.
After receiving your “Clearance Package”, please stop by our office to fill out the first part of the “Clearance Package” and to discuss further steps (move-out inspection date, flyout date, and further questions you may have)
Please ensure to set-up the move-out inspection date 10 days prior to your flyout date.
On the day of the move-out inspection, we will do a brief walk around, finding any damages and noting down what we have found. Once we have finished our brief walk around, we will do a second walkthrough, discussing what we have found with you, asking questions about the findings.
Once all of that has been done, you are okay with everything and you return the keys with us, we can have the utilities companies start turning off the utilities starting from the next day to give us an estimate on how much it will be taken out of the security deposit. (Should take about a week to have everything estimated)
Once we have everything estimated, we will send you an email to inform you and if everything looks okay, please stop by our office to receive your refund and to fill out the second part of the “Clearance Package”.
Once the “Clearance Package” is completed, you will need to bring the package to Kadena Housing Office to complete your move-out.
